Indians are predominantly vegetarians and include a variety of vegetables in every meal. Today we are going to cook typical Indian vegetables, some with gravy and some dry. All these vegetables are available in Indian grocery stores nearby.
Indian food offers a huge variety of dishes, some region-specific and some widespread in the full country. Ayurveda is integrated in cooking recipes in almost every household and can hardly be separated from Indian cooking. In this series of culinary courses - 2 evenings will focus mainly on applying Ayurvedic principles to recipes. The rest of the 3 evenings will focus on some widely popular Indian dishes. In every course we will cook some dishes together and ideas for further variation or extension will be spoken about. Please see below for description.
Sharvari Bhalerao is an Indian from Mumbai and have been living in Germany for the past 15 years. She is a Nutritionist and an English teacher by profession. Cooking is her passion and, in these seminars, she would give you useful tips about cooking a delicious meal.
All the ingredients or spices required to cook this meal are readily available in stores near you. You will get more information about this while cooking. You do not need to have any previous knowledge about Indian cooking to attend this workshop. Language of Instruction will be English.
